It is best to
learn the techniques with a live instructor, but here are some moves to get you started:
Hand
Circle
Draw a circle with the middle finger and allow the wrist to rotate
360º. As the circle is almost complete, draw the thumb in towards the middle
finger.
Head
Roll (Modified)
Roll the head from one shoulder under the chin to the next
shoulder, lift the head up to neutral position and roll it to the first
shoulder.
Hip
Twists
Twist one hip forward, then the next. It can be with weight shifting to one side, as Chubby Checker has done, or with the weight centered evenly.
Lg. Hip
Circle
Start with the weight on one side. Push the hips, belly, and weight to
the other side. Pull the hips back and continue shifting weight to the starting
side.
Rib Cage
Slide
With the pelvis tucked, push the ribs over to one side, then to the
other side.
Shoulder
Lift
Lift the shoulder up and release.
